Easter Bunny Fruit Salad

Celebrate Easter with a Colourful, Nutritious Treat for Toddlers

This Easter Bunny Fruit Salad is a fun and healthy way to celebrate Easter with your little ones. Using a variety of colourful fruits, you can create a fun bunny-shaped snack that’s as nutritious as it is exciting!

Easter is often accompanied with chocolate and treats so what better way to celebrate than with a fun, healthy, and colourful recipe idea? The Easter Bunny Fruit Salad is the perfect snack for toddlers and babies (even adults can enjoy it too!). It's easy to make, you can switch out the fruits for your little one’s favourites, it’s packed with vitamins and goodness, and allows little ones to get involved in the kitchen!

What You’ll Need:

  • Strawberries (for the bunny’s nose and ears)
  • Blueberries (for the eyes)
  • Grapes (for the bunny’s face and cheeks)
  • Melon (for the bunny’s face)
  • Apple (for the whiskers and bunny teeth)
  • A small bowl for mixing
  • A plate to arrange the fruit

How to Make It:

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Begin by washing the fruits thoroughly. Slice the strawberries, grapes, and melon into bite-sized toddler-baby pieces. Thinly slice apple into whisker strips. Cut two small rectangular shapes out of the apple for the bunny teeth.

  2. Shape the Bunny Face: On a plate, arrange the melon slices into the shape of a bunny’s face. You can use a large slice of melon for the face or fill the face area with melon pieces.

  3. Add the Features: For the bunny’s eyes, use two blueberries, and for the nose, place a strawberry in the centre of the face. Create the ears by cutting strawberry slices and placing them above the face in the shape of bunny ears. You can add little grape cheeks for extra cuteness! Place the apple whiskers next to the nose and the apple teeth underneath the nose for that classic Easter Bunny look.

  4. Let Your Toddler Help: Toddlers love getting involved, so let them help wash the fruits and arrange them on the plate. It's a fun, hands-on way for your little one to enjoy the process of making their own snack.

Why It’s Great for Toddlers:

This Easter Bunny Fruit Salad is a fantastic way to encourage healthy eating while introducing your toddler to a variety of fruits. The mix of colours and shapes is visually stimulating, and arranging the fruits helps develop fine motor skills. Plus, it’s a fun way to engage in Easter-themed activities while sneaking in some nutritious ingredients.

Whether you’re celebrating Easter or just enjoying the spring season, this fruit salad is sure to be a hit with little ones and a fun way to enjoy time together.
